These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of educational programs and services provided by Compass Finance ("we," "our," or "us"). By enrolling in programs or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before proceeding. If you do not agree with any provision, do not use our services.

Definitions

  • "User," "you," or "your" refers to individuals enrolled in or accessing our programs

Use of Services

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to enroll in our programs. By using our services, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

Account Responsibilities

If you create an account to access programs:

  • You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality
  • You must provide accurate and current information
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must notify us promptly of unauthorized access

Permitted Use

Our educational content is provided for personal learning purposes. You may access materials during your enrollment period and use them for personal financial education.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Violating any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringing intellectual property rights
  • Sharing account credentials or program access with unauthorized individuals
  • Reproducing, distributing, or creating derivative works from program content without permission

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts

  • Engaging in harassment or abusive behavior toward staff or other learners

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

All content, including but not limited to text, graphics, videos, exercises, and educational materials, is owned by or licensed to Compass Finance. This content is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.

License Grant

Upon enrollment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use program materials for personal educational purposes. This license:

  • Permits viewing and downloading for personal use only
  • Does not allow redistribution or commercial use
  • May be revoked if Terms are violated
  • Continues after program completion for reference purposes

User Submissions

If you submit content to us (such as questions, feedback, or suggestions), you grant us a non-exclusive right to use such submissions for program improvement purposes.

Payment Terms

Pricing

Program fees are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and must be paid in full before program access is granted. Prices are subject to change, but changes will not affect enrollments already in progress.

Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as indicated during enrollment. All payments are processed securely through authorized payment processors.

Taxes

Applicable taxes (including GST/HST or PST as required) will be added to program fees based on your location. Tax amounts are calculated at time of payment.

Refund Policy

Refund Eligibility

Refund requests may be submitted within 14 days of enrollment date, provided:

  • Less than 25% of program content has been accessed
  • Request is submitted in writing to [email protected]
  • No certificates or completion records have been issued

Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refund:

  • Programs where more than 25% of content has been accessed
  • Requests submitted after the 14-day period
  • Certificates or credentials already issued

Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for enrollment.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Educational Nature

Our programs provide general financial education and do not constitute personalized financial advice. Content is not tailored to your specific circumstances. Before making financial decisions, consult with qualified professionals who can assess your individual situation.

No Guarantees

We make no representations or warranties regarding specific outcomes from completing programs. Financial situations vary widely, and results depend on individual circumstances, decisions, and external factors beyond our control.

"As Is" Provision

Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet specific requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compass Finance shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of services. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific program giving rise to the claim.

Termination

By You

You may discontinue use of services at any time. Termination does not entitle you to refunds except as specified in our Refund Policy.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to services if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Continuation poses security or legal concerns

Effects of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access program content ceases, except as required by law or unless we determine otherwise. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and dispute resolution survive termination.

Informal Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in courts located in Saskatchewan.

Mediation

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, parties agree to attempt mediation before initiating litigation. Mediation costs shall be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any program-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Compass Finance regarding services.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Notices

Legal notices shall be sent to the email address associated with your account or to our contact address. Notices are deemed delivered when sent to the most recent address provided.
